Sowing frenzy

correct use of a seed potato?

(the correct use of a seed potato)

Just a list of what I sowed yesterday/today

  • Ammi Majus. Bishops Flower
  • Bupleurum Griffith
  • Runner beans
  • Ballotti beans
  • Carrots
  • Spring onions
  • Leaks
  • Purple sprouting broccoli
  • Brussel sprouts

and a few other things that have germinated.

  • Helianthus Sunflower Earthwalker
  • Ricinus Impala
  • Cerinthe Major Purpurascens

The cold frame is filling up nicely.

I also planted out 10(ish) broad bean plants. I’ll pop some seeds straight in in a week or so, hopefully we’ll have loads of beans (great on toast :). We ┬áhad problems with black fly last year so I’ll need to keep an eye on them.

The river down by the allotment was pretty high last night, so we are going to put another fish trap in to see what difference a fast flowing river makes.
